Russian Speaking Credit Analyst, Corporate & Government Ratings - Stockholm

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to join our Corporate Ratings group as an analyst based in our Stockholm office.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant business-related field, and possess the ability to undertake rigorous analytical work. You will be proficient at doing research and writing analytical reports with a track record of fundamental analysis. Understanding of the utility sectors would be ideal but a background in other sectors would be considered. An ability to quickly absorb, analyse, and act upon information is required.
The successful candidate will be comfortable in an environment which stimulates continuous improvement and innovation, and the highest customer service standards whilst adhering to established ratings criteria, methodology, policies, and procedures. The individual will be able to demonstrate analytical excellence and good presentation skills in front of internal and external audiences, while maintaining and enhancing the quality and timeliness of our analysis. Moreover, you must demonstrate an ability to work at board level and represent Standard & Poor's in a highly professional manner to global investors. You will be required to prepare and perform at meetings with senior multi-national management teams to extract and assess information relating to credit quality and to explain our credit rating opinions. Strong presentation and organizational skills are also required to present detailed information and reasoned opinions to our credit rating committees.
Due to the nature of the role, strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential. Fluency in Russian would be an advantage in dealing with issuers in Russia and Eastern Europe. Candidates should be confident self-starters who have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes
. Preferably have worked in a large commercial bank, investment bank, investing institution, or audit company working in the field of credit analysis of multinational corporations
. Be educated to degree level in a relevant business-related field; a relevant Masters degree, CFA, or financial qualification would be desirable
. Be fluent in English; fluency in Russian would be an advantage
. Be an excellent team player
. Be willing to travel, sometimes at short notice
. Have strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
. Be intelligent and highly motivated
. Be numerate, accurate with figures, and detail-orientated, with the ability to maintain accuracy while complying with deadlines
. Be computer literate, with strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint and database application skills. Ability to prepare forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions will be required.
